Sustainability Workshop
Project
As the International Association for Women in Sustainable Development (USKD), we believe that instilling sustainable living awareness in children at an early age is of great importance. Therefore, the first implementation of our “Sustainability Workshop” project was successfully carried out at Aliağa Toprak Kindergarten.
We believe that early childhood education creates lasting effects on the awareness individuals develop towards the environment, society, and the world they live in, and therefore we find this work extremely valuable.
In the workshop, which was held with the participation of 5-6 year old students, our children had the opportunity to experience, through practical activities, that sustainability is not limited to protecting the environment, but is also an important part of life with its social, economic, and cultural dimensions.
The activities covered topics such as:
♻️ recycling and love of nature,
🤝 sharing and cooperation,
💰 conscious use of resources,
🏛️ preservation of cultural values,
and others, through games, stories, and interactive activities.
